Technical Information
Textures
In the glass, texture is the perceived surface quality of a work of art. It is an element of two-dimensional and three-dimensional design and is distinguished by its perceived visual and physical properties. Physical texture, also known as actual texture or tactile texture, are the actual variations upon a surface.
Colours

The color of an object is a complex result of its surface properties, its transmission properties, and its emission properties, all of which factors contribute to the mix of wavelengths in the light leaving the surface of the object. The perceived color is then further conditioned by the nature of the ambient illumination, and by the color properties of other objects nearby, via the effect known as color constancy and via other characteristics of the perceiving eye and brain.

Our Glass:

Textured glass – offers almost unlimited possibilities in design of interior and exterior architectural elements. This type of glass has a unique ability to perform as a decorative feature as well as a functional and structural building material. Textured glass is bursting in originality in many ways. Tint glass – it’s created using a textured glass with metallic colours. The interplay of transparency and colour created a fascinating atmosphere. Adding colour we can translate into glass your design concept or to create something very specific for you.
Decorative, functional, structural.

Painted glass – it’s another exciting option we can excel using sprayed opaque colours only. colours: any RAL or Pantone number. Painted glass has a wide range of uses in domestic and commercial spaces and it is a pioneering and contemporary alternative to tiling. These panels are ideal for kitchen splash backs and worktops, bathroom cladding and counters. These daring colours skilfully blend in with other interior elements , including unforeseen textures as well as bold motifs evoking contract and comfort throughout.

Gilded glass – traditional technique of gilding which can be used in a wide range of interior accessories and products to achieve an impressive effect. Gold, silver and copper leaf are stencilled onto the glass creating a reflective, decorative surface pattern. Panels, mirrors, screens, wall art could be decorated using this innovative technique.

Toughened (or tempered) glass is a type of safety glass that has increased strength and will usually shatter in small, square pieces when broken. It is used when strength, thermal resistance and safety are important considerations. In commercial structures it is used in unframed assemblies such as frameless doors, structurally loaded applications and door lights and vision lights adjacent to doors. Toughened glass is typically four to six times the strength of annealed  glass.

Our desire to grow made us to discover and develop a new techniques:

  • acid embossing: NO, we do not use acid – but… we can use a paint to achieve such an effect.
  • moulded, textured and shaded sandblasting – new sandblasting equipment was installed in studio and we currently developing our technique to perfect another Svaja’s “experience”
  • handmasking – important part in portfolio of each architectural glass
  • computer graphics
  • gilding and UV bonding
  • laminating
